Biography

Feminist scholar Fadwa Bouguerra focuses on creating and implementing gender justice and equality to promote long-term social, political, and economic growth in the MENA area. As a gender specialist, she collaborated with GIZ, IFES, MITOS, HIVOS, KAS, and other national and international assistance programs on a number of initiatives aimed at empowering women and enhancing their integration and involvement in decision-making. She focused on women's contributions to economic growth and the engagement of young women in politics. Field research on GBV and its effects on female representation in politics, the economy, and society has been done by Ms. Bouguerra. Her scholarly work and research centers on GBV in the public and private spheres. She is currently holding a senior lecturer position in Gender Studies at South Mediterranean University, Tunisia.
