She is a full-time faculty member at the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) at the South Mediterranean University since 2018 and is an active researcher. Amira has joined in 2019 a cooperation project between the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and small and Medium Enterprises, the German Metrology Institute (PTB) and the Technical University in Berlin. The objective of the project is to test with randomized controlled trials (RCT) how to stimulate SMEs’ use of quality infrastructure services to foster export activity in Tunisia. Amira worked as a researcher in a second cooperation project aiming to empower Tunisian female entrepreneur through consortia creation. More precisely, the project is implemented by the German development agency GIZ and the Tunisian export promotion agency CEPEX. The project aims at supporting Tunisian SMEs in accessing new export markets in African markets with a special focus on female entrepreneurs. Starting September 2024 Amira starts working on a project related to labor economics aiming to help job seekers find jobs in tourism, plastics and textile sectors, through a rigorous impact evaluation of the vocational training provided by political partners.
