    Amira Bouziri received her Ph.D in Economics from the University Paris Saclay, Evry, France, in 2017. She is a full-time faculty member at the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) at the South Mediterranean University since 2018 and is an active researcher. Before joining MSB, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Tunis Business School in Tunis and at the University of Evry Paris Saclay in France. Her research interests are within the field of international trade, labor economics, environmental economics, economics of innovation, women and youth empowerment and applied econometrics.
    Amira has joined in 2019 a cooperation project between the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and small and Medium Enterprises, the German Metrology Institute (PTB) and the Technical University in Berlin. The objective of the project is to test with randomized controlled trials (RCT) how to stimulate SMEs’ use of quality infrastructure services to foster export activity in Tunisia. Amira worked as a researcher in a second cooperation project aiming to empower Tunisian female entrepreneur through consortia creation. More precisely, the project is implemented by the German development agency GIZ and the Tunisian export promotion agency CEPEX. The project aims at supporting Tunisian SMEs in accessing new export markets in African markets with a special focus on female entrepreneurs. Starting September 2024 Amira starts working on a project related to labor economics aiming to help job seekers find jobs in tourism, plastics and textile sectors, through a rigorous impact evaluation of the vocational training provided by political partners.

Recently, Dr. Bouziri joined a cooperation project between the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises (MIPME), the German Metrology Institute (PTB), and the Technical University in Berlin. The objective of the project is to test with randomized controlled trials (RCT) how to stimulate SMEs’ use of quality infrastructure services in order to foster export activity in Tunisia. She is a member of another cooperation project entitled “Corporate social responsibility practices’ development for a better society: multicountry analysis”. The aim of the project is to promote corporate social responsibility practices and evaluate their adoption’s impact on the stakeholders in the different countries involved (France, Romania, Montenegro, and Lebanon).
