    Amira Bouziri


Affiliation: South Mediterranean University (SMU), Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) and L.R. MASE (LR21ES21), ESSAI, Université de Carthage.

Biography: Amira received her Ph.D in Economics from the University Paris Saclay, Evry, France, in 2017. She is an associate professor of Economics and quantitative methods at the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB). Her fields of research are in the intersection between Development Economics, International Trade, Labor Economics and Youth and Women Empowerment.

Amira has joined several cooperation projects between the Tunisian Ministries (Tunisian Industry Ministry, the Export promotion agency, The Tunisian Ministry of Employment) and the German Ministry (PTB and GIZ: PEMA2 project, FIESPII project). The projects aim to promote Tunisian SMEs exports to international markets, help Tunisian women entrepreneurs to export/export more to African countries and support job seekers in Tunisa find jobs in the tourism, plastic and textile sectors. The main role of Amira and her research team in the above-mentioned projects is to evaluate through a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) the interventions set up by political partners.
