Dr. Hansen specializes in competitiveness strategy and cluster development. He has worked in over 35 countries, most often on World Bank or USAID projects, and on public private partnerships in the U.S. He is a former president of The Competitiveness Institute based in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in economics from Boston University.
