Students who successfully complete the first 4 years of their engineering degree can attend the University of Michigan of Dearborn in their 5th year as a guest student before continuing on with an MSc that will bring diversity to their educational portfolio.

The Dearborn campus of the University of Michigan was founded in 1959, with a grant of land and money from Ford Motor Company. The University of Michigan, established in 1817, has three campuses and is one of the distinguished US Universities and a global leader in higher education, with over 51,000 students, 5,600 faculty, and 95 graduate programs in the US News top ten.
In undergraduate education, the University of Michigan is ranked 5th in Electrical Engineering and 7th in Computer Engineering by the 2014 US News and World Report survey. The University is also known for having the best university library system in the country and for its first-class computer access services.
Almost half of the student body graduated in the top five percent of their high school class, and two thirds graduated in the top ten percent.
Each discipline in the 4+2 Program will require a program of study approved by both MEDTECH and UMD.
Each will contain general and technical courses satisfying baccalaureate degree requirements from MEDTECH and master’s degree requirements from UMD. The program of study* for each approved course discipline should include course sequence information to guide each MEDTECH student’s study.
*Both programs of study may be subject to amendment as deemed necessary or appropriate.

General Admission Requirements :
Students must have completed five semesters of university study at the time of application to Michigan and their cumulative GPA is 3.00 or higher.
