The "BIM Fundamentals and Information Management" Certified Seminar started today!
This 4-day course introduces Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital information management in the construction industry.
Day 1 covers an overview of BIM - what it is and what it is not, the technologies, processes, and policies involved, and the business case and benefits of BIM for design, construction, and operations.
This certified seminar is the first Module of the Executive Master BIM & ERP Management, the objective of the full program is to train professionals from the AECO industry and equip them with the necessary tools and competencies for management roles in BIM projects.
It is a 20-month program crowned by a final project. Courses are held four days a month from Thursdays through Sundays.

Dr Bilal Succar is an independent researcher and an experienced international consultant in the fields of digital performance assessment and improvement. Dr Succar worked as a designer, site manager, trainer, and BIM specialist in the Middle East and Australia from 1992-2003. In 2004, Dr Succar established ChangeAgents AEC, an open-innovation consultancy operating out of Melbourne, Australia. In 2016, Dr Succar co-founded the not-for-profit BIMe Initiative (BIMexcellence.org), a Community of Research and Practice of more than 160 volunteers - esteemed professors, postgraduate students, and industry specialists - from 42 countries. The BIMe Initiative aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the built environment through process innovation and open knowledge-sharing. It investigates, develops, and delivers free-to-use, open-access tools, templates, and resources (e.g.,BIMdictionary.com and Macroadoption.com) intended to benefit the informed practitioner, topic researcher, and policy maker. Balancing academic research with digital practice, Dr Succar has published several well-cited peer-reviewed articles, led high-impact national initiatives, and delivered topical keynote lectures and strategic workshops in 19 countries.
