In recognition of their efforts in 2021 (the foundation year of the student branch), IEEE SMU Student Branch received has been rewarded IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch (2022) within the Tunisia Section along with only 4 other prestigious Student Branches (INSAT, ESPRIT, ENIS, ESSTHS). The purpose of this award is to provide public recognition of exemplary IEEE Student Branch operations.
