Qualifications: Ph.D. in Digital Signal Processing from Tunis National School of Engineers, University of El Manar, Tunisia. Research Master (DEA) in Automatics and Signal Processing, Tunis National School of Engineers, University of El Manar, Tunisia.

Biography

Monia Kammoun is an Assistant Professor in Digital Signal Processing and Pattern Recognition since 2003, she has accumulated years of experience in higher education, scientific research, and supervision.

She started her AI research in 2000 with an application based on the DTW algorithm for deafness recognition from recorded human voices for speech audiometry.

In 2003, she used the SUSAS database for my PhD research based on the classification of different types of stress. This database, provided by the US Air Force, contains samples of military voices under different stress conditions.

She is also part of the AI and Robotics lab at ENIM, she supervises Master's research in Stress and Emotion Recognition.

Being part of the #smu #MedTech family since 2014, she equipped the ECE LAb with the ELVIS Stations and Labview Multisim. Thus, she got invited to the National Instruments conference held in Beirut in 2016 to share the MEDTECH  success story of using NI Elvis stations in teaching pre-engineering programs.

Certified Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist ITIL 4 and PRINCE2 Foundation, she provides remote and in person training training in Tunisia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and France.
